To give a fillip to competitive mentality of the students , Guru Nanak Public School ,Rajouri Garden, in collaboration with Lion Club (VEG) Delhi.
District 321-A1, New Delhi organized an Inter Public School Debate Competition in the school. The topic of the debate was,”Should India retaliate to the firing on The Borders by the Neighboring Countries?”
In total 11 teams from different schools participated with two participants in each team from classes IX and X.
The students expressed their views with full flare “for” and ‘against’ the topic.
The esteemed judges were Mr. Shyam Gopal Deep (Member of Lion’s Club), Mr. Gaurav Gupta (President Lion’s Club), Ms Ruchi Sandeep Goel (Secretary Lion’s Club)
The event started with the welcome address by the Principal Mr. S. S. Minhas, Guru Nanak Public School, Rajouri Garden in which he emphasized and asked everybody to ponder and analyze the situation on the borders and also motivated and students to be vocal and express their thoughts clearly. He also mentioned that being the custodian of the future, the students should be given such a platform whereas in they can express their views in a wider term. He further ensured to organize such events in future to inculcate competitive skills in students.
Mr. Shyam Gopal Deep (Member of Lion’s Club) also enlightened the students by giving informative speech and lightened everybody’s mood by cracking jokes and asking riddles.
The dawn of the Programme came to an end with the speech of vice Principal Ms. Anvinder Kaur, Guru Nanak Public School, Rajouri Garden, followed by the distribution of prizes to the winning teams and a certificate and a book to all the participants.
