English Debate (2017-2018)

 

Guru Nanak Public School , Rajouri Garden organised an English Debate Competition for the students of Class XII on the topic : "DEMONITISATION - A BOON OR A BANE" under the guidance of Principal Dr.S.S. Minhas along with the School Management Committee to inculcate language skills .

2 students from each House participated , one spoke in favour and other one spoke against the motion. 
So,there were total 8 participants debating on the topic.

A Zonal Level English Declamation Competition was organised at Guru Nanak Public School Rajouri Garden on 23rd August 2013 in which 15 schools participated in Senior and Junior categories respectively.

The programme began with the welcome address by the school Principal Mr. S. S. Minhas in which he stated the importance of such competitions for creating awareness amongst students beyond their text books. He also pointed out that delivery of such speeches boosts the confidence in the youngsters along with providing their logical and reasoning faculty an opportunity to get enhanced. In the Senior Category, the topic was Disaster Management - a challenge. The students explained how the developed nations could tackle Sandy storm and Fukushima disaster and how due to our failure of being alert caused such a great havoc in Uttrakhand recently.

In the junior Category, the topic of declamation was Nothing is impossible where there is a will, there is a way. The young students quoted the examples of the spider falling, Bruce and highlighted the determination of Malala the recent UN awardee.

English Declamation Competition concluded with a word of appreciation for all the participants particularly the students Volunteers of XII A who facilitated and helped in conducting such a marvellous show. They said they were really touched and honoured by the gesture of the School of welcoming them with the saplings in place of bouquets.
